Professional past and present
Todd Cirella began his professional career in 1993. With his team, he started in the business at Sands Brothers - a brokerage firm that focused mainly on high-net-worth individuals, European clients, and global transactions.
Since Laidlaw & Company branched out to the United States in 2004, Todd began working with Laidlaw Venture Partners and Laidlaw Private Equity LLC, which offers a Private Stakes Program tailored for qualified investors seeking exposure to private equity opportunities in late-stage technology companies in sectors such as enterprise cloud, fintech, cybersecurity, AI, and eCommerce. The program aims to produce results for clients through liquidity events such as corporate sales, IPOs, mergers, and more. It offers access to private equity markets, facilitating private stock transfers from existing stakeholders
Cirella has been managing high net worth individuals offering a widespread portfolio and has raised money for the early development stages of some of the biggest names in the industry such as Facebook, Pinterest, Square, Palantir, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
Todd focuses on investment banking, private equity, and venture capital. His work has helped Laidlaw’s Private Stakes Program by facilitating the investment of over half a billion dollars into over two dozen funds.
Charity and community work
In addition to his passions for gardening and boating, Todd Cirella has become deeply involved in extensive community work and charitable endevours.
He joined the Red Cross, helping families who have lost their homes to receive temporary shelter and funding. He was recently appointed supervisor and now holds multiple responsibilities that include managing, gathering, and monitoring a team of volunteers.
Todd is on the board of directors of Fields & Maintenance at the Syosset soccer program which brings together around 2,500 kids, ensuring that the equipment, field, and uniforms are provided and suitable.
He is also active in raising diabetes awareness and contributes his time building homes at Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit organization that provides shelter for people in need.
Cirella recently joined the Columbus Citizens Foundation, where the Italian heritage and culture are celebrated through various philanthropic and educational activities.
Residing in New York with his wife and three children, Cirella advocates and promotes the well-being and safety of his community through prominent involvement in his Neighborhood Association.
